I’ve discovered…

August 26, 2010

Saying goodbye was the hardest part of the whole trip. Even now when I think about it, my throat closes and my vision blurs.

Customs hates me, as does security. There’s no reason to be “randomly” checked twice. Really now?

The view from plane windows doesn’t look real. It looked like a movie scene. A gorgeous, constantly sunny movie scene.
On that note, sunlight should not last for 16+ hours without night time in between.

Trains are the bane of my existence. Stupid kanji…

Hostels are nice, but not when your room is on the fifth floor. And you have (between the three of you) seven bags of luggage. And there’s no elevator.

Japan is bloody HOT.

McDonald’s should never be your first meal in a new country.

24 total hours of travel makes me want to kill everything.

I should have left the car keys at home.

Fukushima. The ward of Osaka our hostel was in.

Lots o' bikes ever-whur...

J-Hoppers. The hostel we briefly called home.

J-Hopper's kitchen. Pretty neat. =)

Our tiny room with all our luggage...and a very tired Peter.

View from our window. =)

View from the roof!

More from the roof. I'll have to go back to Osaka soon.

And the tired has hit…

I was going to do a full blog post, but it’s going to have to wait until after my sleepiness has gone.
